Supervised Workouts Improve Results

New research supports the benefits of hiring a qualified personal trainer to help you attain your fitness goals.

Are you self motivated or do you need a leader to guide you through an hour long workout? Sometimes I am fairly self-motivated. I can plan my workouts and follow through. At other times use need a trainer or a leader to help guide me.

A recent study took two groups of men through a 12 week training session. Both groups were self-motivated and both groups had prepared workout logs to follow. One group was left on their own to follow the sessions. And the second group had trainers to assist with motivation and spotting. Both groups gained strength but the second group gained significantly more strength and muscle size.

The theory is the supervised group was encouraged to work harder and to push each rep a little harder during each workout. If you are able to, hire a trainer to help you reach your goals. A motivated and knowledgeable workout buddy helps too.
